Family Practice Travel Nurse Opportunity

Boone Health is seeking a skilled Family Practice Travel Nurse to join our team. As a Family Practice Travel Nurse, you will have the opportunity to work in a busy family practice clinic with 8 providers, seeing all ages and experiencing great teamwork in the clinic.

Responsibilities:
  • Collect and record patient vital signs, home medication intake, and history intake.
  • Perform point of care testing, including strep, flu, pregnancy testing, and A1Cs.
  • Assist providers with needed procedures and triage skills for patient phone calls.
  • Input orders for labs and procedures, chart prep for clinic day, and relay results and answer questions as they arise.
Requirements:
  • Clinical skill comments: Collecting and recording patient vital signs, home medication intake, history intake, point of care testing, assisting provider with needed procedures.
  • Triage skills for pt phone calls, input orders for labs/procedures, chart prep for clinic day per provider preference, relaying results and answering questions as they arise, completing and obtaining prior authorizations.
Work Schedule:

Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm

Unit Specific Information:
  • Family Practice clinic with 8 providers.
  • Common equipment: EKGs, A1C machine, point of care testing machines.
  • Sees all ages, great teamwork in clinic, excellent and experienced providers.
Additional Details:
  • Effective hours of unpaid orientation.
  • For roles with a guarantee, Boone Health can call off staff for up to 36 hours in a contract.
