Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Addictions Counselor 2 to join our team at the Creedmoor Psychiatric Center. As a key member of our clinical staff, you will provide individual counseling and case management services to patients in a treatment facility.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct individual and group therapy sessions to support patients in their recovery journey
  • Develop and implement treatment plans to address patients' psychosocial needs
  • Collaborate with other clinical disciplines to coordinate treatment planning and ensure comprehensive care
  • Provide leadership and training to staff members to enhance their skills and knowledge in addictions counseling
  • Assess patients' psychosocial condition and determine the effects of substance use on their well-being
Requirements

To be eligible for this position, you must have:

  • Registration as a CASAC-Advanced Counselor or CASAC Master Counselor in New York State
  • One year of post-registration experience in addictions counseling in a certified or licensed program
