Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care, utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
- Communicate effectively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
- Participate in patient education, promoting health literacy and empowering patients to take an active role in their care.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient interactions, treatments, and outcomes.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree preferred.
- At least 1 year of experience as a staff nurse RN in an acute care hospital setting, with a preference for E.R. experience.
- Current and valid state RN license.
- Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
- Current ACLS certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
- Current PALS certificate and/or ENPC 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
- Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN) certification preferred.
- Knowledge of EMTALA regulations and reporting of child/adult abuse to appropriate agencies and Hospital Social Worker.
- Ability to maintain patient privacy and confidentiality.
