Job Title: Principal Consultant

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Consultant to join our Data Analytics team in Bentonville, Arkansas. As a Principal Consultant, you will be responsible for overseeing the technical data architecture and implementation teams for a strategic client engagement.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Serve as the onsite point-of-contact for the client engagement, overseeing the technical data architecture and implementation teams.
  • Work closely with the Client Director and Sales Solution Architects to identify account growth opportunities.
  • Communicate directly with senior client stakeholders and demonstrate innovation and problem-solving skills in all aspects of work.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements, design, and deliver solutions.
  • Design and develop big data architectures in GCP.
  • Design, develop, and maintain data models for cloud data architectures.
  • Design, develop, and optimize data processing workflows using Spark, Hive, Airflow, and GCP Dataproc.
  • Write efficient SQL queries and develop data pipelines using pySpark.
  • Implement DevOps practices using GitHub for continuous integration and deployment.
  • Ensure data integrity through rigorous attention to detail and validation, including adherence to all regulatory, privacy, and security compliance procedures.
  • Identify potential issues and risks during project implementation and develop realistic mitigation strategies.
  • Document process, code, and models.
  • Perform hands-on development as needed.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in Data Engineering, including relevant experience working with Google Cloud Platform or on-premises Hadoop solutions.
  • 5+ years of experience as a Data Engineer.
  • 3+ years of experience as a Data Architect.
  • 2+ years of GCP experience.
  • GCP Professional Data Engineer certification.
  • Experience translating business requirements to technical requirements.
  • Experience managing Agile projects.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, along with great attention to detail.
  • Hands-on experience with GCP and its data services.
  • Hands-on experience with Spark, Hive, and Airflow.
  • Experience designing and implementing continuous integration and deployment pipelines with GitHub.
  • Knowledge of Scala and its application in big data processing.
