Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Class A CDL Laborer to join our team at BrandSafway. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for assisting our field workers with various tasks, including equipment setup, material transportation, and site maintenance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive safely and courteously to and from job sites, adhering to all traffic laws and company regulations.
  • Assist workers with loading and unloading equipment and materials at job sites and the yard.
  • Inspect and maintain truck equipment and supplies, including tires, brakes, gas, oil, and water.
  • Maintain accurate DOT logs and perform pre- and post-trip inspections as required.
  • Perform emergency roadside repairs, such as changing tires, installing light bulbs, fuses, tire chains, and spark plugs.
  • Secure cargo and assist with inventorying crew trucks to ensure all necessary equipment and materials are stocked.
  • Perform related tasks, including yard maintenance and installation of cathodic protection pipeline work.
Requirements
  • Minimum 21 years of age.
  • Valid Commercial Driver's License (Class A CDL) from the state of residence.
  • Minimum of 3 months of driving experience.
  • Must successfully pass a minimum of a 6-month DOT physical, pre-placement drug screen, and satisfactory background check.
  • Must have an acceptable driving record in accordance with MATCOR/Brand's Vehicle Policy.
  • Must demonstrate ability to work safely and adhere to all safety rules and regulations.
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative in performing work in the field.
  • Ability to use an electronic time tracking system.
  • Must be able to lift and carry 75 lbs.
  • Must be willing to travel 75-100% and work long hours, including 12-hour shifts.
  • Must work well with others and be willing to learn from mentors and others in the shop and field.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Equipment operations experience.
  • Electrical experience.
  • Mechanical experience.
  • Construction experience.
