Key Responsibilities
  • Facilities Maintenance: Perform routine building maintenance, general cleaning, and minor repairs to ensure facilities remain presentable, operable, and in efficient condition.
  • Emergency Response: Respond to emergency requests for repair services and act as the primary point of contact for all building issues.
  • Electrical and Plumbing Maintenance: Perform minor electrical and plumbing maintenance, including replacement or repair of fixtures, and unclogging of drains.
  • Painting and Carpentry: Perform minor painting, carpentry, and masonry work, including preparing surfaces and applying paints, stains, and varnishes.
  • Preparation of Residential Units: Make residential units ready for new move-ins, including dismantling and installing furniture, hanging pictures and shelves, and cleaning rooms, hallways, and living spaces.
  • Compliance and Safety: Ensure work conducted complies with all environmental, health, and safety standards established by federal, state, county, and city laws, ordinances, and regulations, and Interfaith policies and procedures.
  • Cleaning and Organization: Clean rooms, hallways, lobbies, restrooms, corridors, stairways, parking lots, and other work areas as necessary, and maintain storage and equipment in designated areas in a neat and orderly manner.
  • Communication and Reporting: Promptly notify supervisor and other appropriate staff of any problematic facilities issues or other problems that arise, and participate in all staff meetings and trainings.

  • Experience: 2+ years of general facility maintenance work experience required.
