We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Custodian 2 to join our team at the Louisiana State Government. As a key member of our facilities maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and organization of our facilities.
Key Responsibilities- Lead a team of custodians and other employees, providing guidance and support to ensure the successful completion of tasks.
- Assist in the orientation of new employees, providing training and guidance to ensure they are equipped to perform their duties.
- Order supplies and maintain accurate time and attendance records.
- Wash laboratory glassware by hand and/or automated washer, and mix or blend cleaning solutions to proper concentrations.
- Sterilize glass and instruments, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for our employees and visitors.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous experience in custodial services or a related field.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
