Job Title: Senior Mechanical Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our team at RWE Clean Energy, LLC. As a key member of our engineering staff, you will be responsible for designing and developing energy-efficient mechanical systems for new buildings and renovations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop mechanical systems for HVAC, Plumbing, and Fire Protection systems using current versions of REVIT software.
  • Use industry-standard software such as Carrier HAP, Microsoft Excel, and various manufacturers' selection software programs to develop mechanical designs and energy calculations.
  • Contribute to the development of energy audits and performance contracts by assisting Energy Engineers and Project Managers with developing design concepts for energy conservation measures.
  • Identify and quantify energy conservation opportunities associated with HVAC, EMS, building envelope, and heating and cooling systems.
  • Perform utility analysis and benchmarking, site investigations, and energy savings calculations.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering is required, PE registration is preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in HVAC, EMS, and central plant design required.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in energy simulation software required (ASHRAE modified BIN, Trane Trace, Carrier HAP, eQuest, etc.).
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in plumbing and/or fire protection system design preferred.
  • Familiarity with design-build and/or performance contracting preferred.

  • Competitive annual base salary range for this position in New York is $98,800 - $148,000.
