**Job Summary**

As a Pilot Fixed Wing Captain with Air Methods, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe transportation of medical crew and patients to receiving hospitals within an assigned operational area. You will be the final authority on aircraft operations and the safety of passengers, cargo, and equipment.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Operate Air Methods aircraft in a safe and legal manner
  • Complete pre-flight checks to ensure the aircraft is airworthy
  • Responsible for compliance with Federal Aviation Regulations (FAR), Aeronautical Information Manual (AIM), and Air Methods policies and procedures
  • Participate in Air Methods meetings, activities, and community outreach

**Requirements**

  • Associates degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school and two to five years related experience and/or training
  • Instrument rating for category and class of aircraft
  • Fixed wing multiengine rating for twin engine aircraft
  • Commercial single engine land rating for single engine aircraft
  • First or Second Class FAA Medical certificate
