Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Engineer to join our Cargo Mission Contract (CMC) team at Leidos. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for sustaining tasks for CMC hardware and supporting projects related to the development and certification of spaceflight hardware for NASA's International Space Station (ISS), Orion, Human Landing System (HLS), Gateway (GWY), and Commercial Programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Hardware Management: Provide support for Crew Provisions Subsystem by handling the selection, procurement, configuration, inspection, packing, and delivery of spaceflight hardware.
  • Analysis and Integration: Perform analytical integration and physical processing activities to support pressurized cargo requirements.
  • Maintenance and Operations: Perform Maintenance and Operations (M&O) and Sustaining Engineering (SE) functions for the Crew Provisions hardware system.
  • Communication and Representation: Present briefing material, data, analyses, and technical input for status and to support decision making at various NASA Program reviews, control boards, panels, forums, working groups, and Technical Interchange Meetings (TIM).
  • Collaboration and Interface: Interface and coordinate effectively with subcontractors, customers, and team members to ensure seamless project execution and collaboration.
Requirements
  • Education: Requires Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Technical Skills: Experience using MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
  • Soft Skills: Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, organized, proactive, and communicates clearly.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Engineering Knowledge: Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
  • Teamwork: Experience working with multi-discipline teams and customers.
  • Tools and Software: A good understanding and working knowledge of the CMC sustained tools and frequently used NASA tools (Maximo, EDCC/JEDII, EDMS, CDS, MIDAS Prime).
