POSITION TITLE: Logistics Operations Leader

LOCATION: Knoxville, TN

ROLE SUMMARY:

As a key player in the supply chain domain, you will spearhead the S&OP initiatives in Knoxville, collaborating with various teams including supply chain, customer relations, sales, and manufacturing to align demand with available resources. Your goal will be to achieve or surpass the corporate service level target of 95% or above.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Deliver accurate monthly and annual revenue forecasts to internal and external stakeholders based on open orders and demand projections.
  • Oversee inventory management to ensure availability for customer demands while optimizing production schedules and striving for increased inventory turnover, targeting levels at or below 18% of annual revenue.
  • Proactively assess expiring inventory to maximize utilization and minimize write-offs.
  • Lead customer account management efforts, ensuring effective communication regarding order fulfillment, shipping timelines, and material availability challenges.
  • Drive cost savings initiatives impacting the site and company P&L, net working capital, and overall supply chain efficiency.
  • Collaborate with site teams and the Global Category team to implement sustainable supply chain practices, ensuring supply continuity and optimizing lead times, minimum order quantities, and payment terms.
  • Identify and eliminate costs in direct materials, packaging, logistics, and indirect areas.
  • Manage supplier relationships, ensuring compliance with corporate social responsibility standards.
  • Maintain accurate Supply Chain SAP data in alignment with group requirements.
  • Support site R&D and production teams in New Product Development and product substitutions.
  • Provide procurement tools and guidance to the Knoxville Procurement team.
  • Participate in the Global Procurement team to share best practices and coordinate vendor relationships.

QUALIFICATIONS:

The ideal candidate will possess the necessary skills and exhibit the values aligned with our principles:

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage priorities effectively.
  • Process-oriented with a focus on production planning, inventory management, and capacity utilization.

  • Experience in achieving cost reductions and improvements in supply chain metrics.

DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or a related field, or a minimum of 5 years of experience in supply chain management, including procurement and planning.
  • Professional certifications in purchasing or supply chain management are preferred.
  • Familiarity with integrated ERP systems, preferably SAP.
  • Comprehensive understanding of MRP concepts, capacity planning, and related processes.
  • Experience with end-to-end supply chain management.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

This role is primarily office-based, requiring frequent sitting, standing, and walking. Daily use of computers and digital devices is essential. Some travel may be required, necessitating a valid driver's license.
