HFS Company is seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our team. As a Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and managing mechanical systems for our clients.

They will be able to work effectively in a team environment and will be able to communicate complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities
  • Manage and direct projects to ensure they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
  • Assist in the development of client relationships and business development efforts.
  • Prepare and submit proposals and project write-ups.
  • Work with the Program Manager to prepare fee proposals for the division.
  • Deal directly with clients and owners to determine project needs.
  • Be responsible for the total mechanical systems design for specific projects.
  • Make calculations integral to the mechanical systems design.
  • Apply applicable building codes, regulations, and client design standards.
  • Manage and supervise mechanical engineering staff and lead staff meetings.
Requirements
  • PE license in at least one of the 50 US states, with the ability to obtain licensure in Texas.
  • B.S. degree in mechanical engineering.
  • 5+ years of experience in mechanical design and analysis for building construction projects.
  • Government, healthcare, or higher education project experience a plus.
  • Project Management experience.
  • Solid understanding of relevant mechanical codes and standards.
  • Knowledge of mechanical engineering theories and methodologies.
  • Knowledge of project approach and mechanical system design.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Willingness to build and maintain relationships with clients.
  • Proficiency with Revit and AutoCad.
