Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Cook to join our team at our North Wales center. As a Cook, you will be responsible for preparing healthy and nutritious meals for our children, following a menu developed by our in-house nutritionist. You will also be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment, ordering food and supplies, and completing timely and accurate documentation.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare healthy and nutritious meals for children, following a menu developed by our in-house nutritionist
  • Maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations
  • Order food and supplies, as needed
  • Complete timely and accurate documentation, as required
  • Support the success of our center by partnering with center staff and leadership to achieve goals around enrollment, accreditation, and engagement
Qualifications
  • Familiarity with accurate food storage and handling procedures, and the ability to implement methods of food cross-contamination avoidance
  • Ability to follow nutritious menus and prepare sufficient quantities of food for our center population
  • Basic math skills required for measuring and calculating serving portions
  • Food Handler's License or willingness to obtain
  • At least one year of institutional cooking experience, with food ordering experience highly desirable
  • Two or more years working with children, highly desirable
