Position Overview:
This role is a temporary opportunity focused on providing support in various Human Resources functions, particularly in the area of talent acquisition and recruitment.


The HR Representative will engage in activities that facilitate the hiring process, demonstrating flexibility to assist with all general HR operations as needed.



Key Responsibilities:


Establishes and nurtures trusting relationships with management, exercising discretion and sound judgment in these interactions.

Displays outstanding customer service skills.


Advises management throughout the complete recruitment cycle, including ATS usage, interview protocols, internal transfer procedures, candidate status updates, and onboarding processes.

Reviews resumes and promptly connects with prospective candidates. Conducts preliminary phone interviews and in-person interviews.

Supports hiring managers in coordinating interview schedules.

Actively engages in staffing events, such as job fairs, and participates in cross-departmental initiatives.


Collaborates with the relevant gaming authority to ensure all pre-employment screening processes, including background checks and drug tests, are completed.


Ensures that all actions related to new hires, status modifications, and transfers are accurately recorded to facilitate correct payroll and benefits processing.

Reviews employee files to respond to inquiries and provide information to authorized personnel.

Maintains the electronic bulletin boards for Human Resources.

Generates ad-hoc reports to assist management in evaluating the effectiveness of recruitment strategies.


Stays informed about changes in legislation and applies knowledge of job requirements, valid selection processes, and employment practices to ensure compliance.

Performs additional job-related tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:
Ability to uphold strict confidentiality regarding sensitive information. Proficient in various software applications, including ATS and Microsoft Office Suite. Effectively manages multiple priorities and meets deadlines; demonstrated capability to oversee projects from inception to completion. Meeting established objectives and timelines is essential. Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team, exhibiting strong relationship-building and team collaboration skills. Communicates clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing. Demonstrates strong interpersonal, negotiation, and public speaking skills across diverse audiences.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

A High School Diploma or GED is required. An Associate's degree or equivalent from a two-year college, or a combination of education and experience is preferred. A minimum of one year of relevant experience in Human Resources is necessary. Familiarity with online job boards such as ZipRecruiter, Indeed, and Monster is advantageous.

LICENSES, CERTIFICATES, REGISTRATIONS:


Must successfully complete a background investigation to obtain and maintain a gaming license as required.


LANGUAGE SKILLS:


Ability to read, interpret, and implement documents such as policies, procedures, and manuals. Capable of writing routine reports and correspondence. Ability to communicate effectively with the public and team members.



MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:


Ability to perform basic mathematical operations, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.


REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to solve problems with minimal guidance. Capable of interpreting a variety of instructions presented in written, oral, diagram, or schedule formats. Must exhibit diplomacy and tact in all interactions, using sound judgment in disseminating information and reporting facts.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:


While performing the duties of this position, the team member is regularly required to sit, use hands for various tasks, and communicate verbally.

Sufficient dexterity is required to operate office equipment, including computers, calculators, and multi-line telephones. Hearing ability must be adequate to engage in conversations in person and over the phone.

Speech must be clear enough to be understood in person, in meetings, and over the phone.

Visual acuity is necessary to assess the accuracy and thoroughness of work, as well as to observe facilities, guests, and team members.

The team member may occasionally need to walk and reach with hands and arms and must be able to lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
The office environment typically has low to moderate noise levels, good lighting, and is smoke-free.

The casino environment may have moderate to loud noise levels, varying lighting conditions, and can be crowded.


WORKING HOURS:


Given that operations run 24/7, flexibility in scheduling is essential, with availability required for evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events.

A standard workweek consists of 40 hours, with schedules varying based on business needs, potentially including shifts from Monday through Sunday.

Overtime may be required.
