Job Responsibilities

As a Personal Injury Attorney, you will play a pivotal role in managing the entire case-handling process, overseeing tasks from initial filing through to verdict. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Handling serious and catastrophic personal injury cases
  • Supervising teams to ensure top-shelf service by handling tasks that only attorneys should do
  • Screening potential litigation clients and interviewing clients and witnesses
  • Managing case files and negotiating with insurance companies
  • Drafting pleadings, motions, and discovery documents
  • Preparing for and participating in mediations
  • Interviewing and deposing witnesses
  • Preparing clients for depositions
  • Providing counsel to clients and assistance at trial

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Five or more years of personal injury experience
  • A JD from an ABA-accredited law school
  • Membership in the NY Bar
  • Strong verbal and written communication and people skills
  • Professionalism and prioritization of client customer service and representation
  • Experience and knowledge on how to evaluate the value of claims
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to multitask and meet deadlines
