Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Laboratory Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and purifying DNA samples for sequencing, operating and maintaining next-generation sequencing platforms, and performing PCR amplification for research and clinical projects.

Responsibilities:

• Sample Preparation: Prepare and purify DNA samples for sequencing using various techniques and protocols.
• Instrumentation: Operate and maintain next-generation sequencing platforms, ensuring optimal performance and troubleshooting issues as needed.
• PCR Amplification: Perform PCR amplification for research and clinical projects, adhering to strict quality control measures.
• Data Analysis: Analyze sequencing data using bioinformatics tools, identifying trends and patterns to inform project outcomes.
• Documentation: Document procedures and results accurately for audits and reports, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Equipment Maintenance: Calibrate and maintain sequencing instruments and equipment, ensuring optimal performance and minimizing downtime.
• Team Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support drug discovery projects, providing expertise and guidance as needed.

Requirements:

• Education: Bachelor of Science Degree in biology, biochemistry, or a related field.
• Experience: Any industry experience is a plus, with lab experience through school coursework also acceptable.
• Skills: Basic understanding of hands-on biology experiments, working knowledge of Microsoft Office, and strong analytical and time management skills.
