Job Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapist to join our team at the Kennedy-Donovan Center. As a pediatric Occupational Therapist, you will work with families to provide family-centered services that support and enable children to meet their individual needs.

About the Role:

You will work with children aged 0-3 in a hybrid of telehealth and in-person sessions, providing services that promote child development and support families. Your schedule will be Monday to Friday, 8 am to 4:30 pm.

Requirements:

  • A valid Massachusetts Occupational Therapy License is required.
  • A valid driver's license and reliable transportation are also required.
  • You must meet DPH requirements.
  • Pediatric experience is essential.

Physical Requirements:

  • Frequent movement within the classroom, including kneeling, bending, sitting, lifting, and positioning of children.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds alone, 51+ pounds with the assistance of another person or adaptive equipment.

As a KDC EI OT, you will:

  • Partner with families to identify each child's strengths and developmental needs.
  • Develop an Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP) with families.
  • Work closely with a transdisciplinary team on program planning and delivery of services.
  • Oversee case management and referral services to assigned caseload.
  • Conduct home visits to provide developmental stimulation, parent training, and support.
  • Facilitate parent/child and/or child groups.
  • Complete reports of assessments, progress reports, IFSPs, and discharge summaries.
  • Maintain appropriate communication with physicians, clinics, and community agencies participating in each child's care.
