Key Responsibilities

In this capacity, you will be tasked with:

  • Overseeing projects valued between $5 million and $50 million from initiation to completion.
  • Providing regular updates to project management regarding progress, challenges, and potential issues.
  • Collaborating effectively with subcontractors, suppliers, and field personnel to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Managing changes to the cost baseline and monitoring financial performance to identify variances.
  • Maintaining project schedules by allocating appropriate resources and managing availability for project activities.
  • Preparing detailed three-week look-ahead schedules and identifying long lead items.
  • Alerting management to any external factors that may adversely affect project timelines.
  • Overseeing all aspects of subcontractor management.
  • Guiding the preparation of close-out documents and ensuring all inspections and certifications are completed prior to project closure.
  • Implementing quality assurance measures and fostering continuous improvement processes.
  • Adhering to safety protocols and Ross Group's safety policies throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Ensuring accurate invoicing and timely procurement of materials and equipment.
  • Providing leadership to the Project Engineer and prioritizing critical path tasks to maintain project schedules.
Ideal Candidate Profile

The successful candidate will possess:

  • A minimum of five to ten years of experience as a Superintendent or Construction Manager, demonstrating effective leadership and supervisory skills.
  • A proven track record of managing projects with a focus on quality, schedule adherence, safety, and cost management.
  • The ability to adapt to rapidly changing priorities to meet project objectives.
  • Strong management skills to effectively oversee field staff, including providing evaluations, addressing employee concerns, and facilitating training.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interaction with all levels of personnel, management, and external partners.
  • Experience in public speaking to small groups is advantageous.
  • A willingness to relocate to various project sites as required.
  • Flexibility in work hours, averaging 50 hours per week as necessary.

Physical Requirements
