Job Summary

As an Asphalt Paving Equipment Operator, you will be responsible for operating asphalt paving machines and other related equipment in a safe and efficient manner.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate Asphalt Paving Machines: Safely operate asphalt paving machines, including pavers, rollers, and other related equipment, to ensure high-quality paving results.
  • Maintenance and Safety Checks: Perform daily maintenance and safety checks on equipment to ensure optimal performance and prevent accidents.
  • Work on Various Projects: Work on interstate and rural highways for various government agencies, including ODOT, WSDOT, and local city and county agencies.
  • Travel and Teamwork: Travel with the paving crew to work areas throughout Oregon and Washington as required, and work collaboratively with the team to achieve project goals.
Requirements
  • Valid License and Clean Driving Record: Possess a valid license and a clean driving record.
  • Pre-Employment Drug Screen: Pass a pre-employment drug screen.
  • Experience and Skills: Have 3 to 5 years of experience operating CAT, Vogle, and/or other asphalt paving machines, and possess strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
  • Additional Responsibilities: Operate other heavy equipment and perform other construction-related duties as required during the non-paving season.
