We are seeking a highly skilled Structural Department Lead to join our team at Stand-By Personnel. As a key member of our manufacturing team, you will be responsible for conducting biweekly safety meetings to promote a culture of workplace safety and zero injuries.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Reinforce safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Manage manpower and schedules to optimize production efficiency.
  • Ensure adherence to 5S principles and maintain accurate documentation of reports.
  • Handle multiple projects simultaneously and train new employees to ensure a smooth onboarding process.
  • Monitor product quality, operate machinery, and suggest production improvements to enhance overall efficiency.
  • Maintain shop floor consumables and troubleshoot issues to minimize downtime.
  • Supervise and work on units 80% of the time, ensuring timely completion of tasks.

Requirements:

  • Welding experience is required.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds regularly without accommodation.
  • Ability to stoop, bend, and stand throughout the day.
  • Ability to work in outside temperatures during summer months.
  • Ability to work with little supervision.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Willingness to work overtime and weekends as required.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks in a self-directed manner.
  • Ability to coach and train new employees.
  • Experience with power tools and machinery operation.
  • Knowledge of ISO9000, API 661, and AWS D1.1 standards is a plus.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and people to meet deadlines and budgets.
