We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Orthopedic Nurse to join our team at Virginia Mason Franciscan Health. As a member of our Orthopedic Surgical Unit, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our team.

About the Role

The RN Ortho job is responsible for providing a wide range of professional nursing services, focusing on the provision of quality patient care consistent with Franciscan Health System standards and values. This includes assessing, planning, coordinating, evaluating, and delegating work to members of the patient care team, as well as providing education and consultation with patients, families, physicians, and other staff members.

Responsibilities
  • Assess patient needs and develop individualized plans of care
  • Implement and evaluate patient care plans in collaboration with interdisciplinary teams
  • Provide education and consultation to patients, families, and healthcare professionals
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes
Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Graduation from an accredited school of nursing, BSN degree preferred
  • Minimum 6 months previous RN experience required
  • One year of related work experience in an acute care setting preferred
  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse issued by the Washington State Board of Nursing
  • Specialty certification, as appropriate to the assigned work unit, is strongly preferred
