Infection Prevention Specialist

The Infection Prevention Specialist is responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive infection prevention and control program (IPCP) at Covenant Living Communities. This program aims to provide a safe and sanitary environment for residents, staff, and visitors, while preventing the development and transmission of communicable diseases and infections.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Establish and manage a facility-wide system for the prevention, identification, investigation, and control of infections.
  • Develop and implement written standards, policies, and procedures for the IPCP.
  • Conduct outbreak investigations and maintain a system for reporting possible incidents of communicable diseases to local, state, or national agencies.
  • Collaborate with facility leaders, physicians, and local, state, and national agencies on activities related to infection prevention.
  • Design and conduct facility training on Infection Prevention and Control.


Requirements:
  • Current knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations related to infection control and safety.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with key stakeholders, including regulatory requirement management, quality control assurance, and continuous improvement.
