We are seeking a skilled and dedicated CT Technologist to join our team at Portsmouth Regional Hospital. As a CT Technologist, you will play a critical role in producing high-quality images of patients' bones, organs, and tissue to aid in medical diagnoses.
Key Responsibilities- Operate CT equipment to produce cross-sectional images of patients' anatomy.
- Prepare patients for procedures by explaining the process and positioning them to capture optimal images requested by the physician.
- Accurately interpret physician scanning instructions, administer contrast materials, and prepare and operate the CT scan equipment.
- Assist the radiologist in administering medication and contrast agents, performing biopsies, and providing patient care.
- Prepare examination rooms for CT scans and/or invasive procedures, and maintain room cleanliness and inventory of supplies.
- Graduate of an AMA-approved School of Radiologic Technology.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support certification required within 30 days of employment start date.
- ARRT-CT certification preferred.
- CT experience preferred.
