Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and patient-focused Occupational Therapist to join our team at Resilient Healthcare in Beaumont, TX. As an Occupational Therapist, you will play a vital role in helping individuals with physical, mental, or developmental conditions develop, recover, or maintain daily living and work skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess clients' needs and design personalized occupational therapy treatment plans to support engagement in occupations that impact health, well-being, and life quality.
  • Select and adapt the most suitable occupational therapy treatment models, methods, and approaches to direct interventions for each client.
  • Implement evidence-based practices to maximize safety and performance in activities of daily living (ADL) and instrumental activities of daily living (IADL).
  • Teach clients new ways to approach tasks and educate them on breaking down activities into achievable components.
  • Evaluate clients' homes and other environments, providing recommendations for alterations consistent with their needs and capabilities.
  • Recommend adaptive equipment and train clients in its use.
  • Guide and educate family members and caregivers on how to support clients effectively.
  • Maintain accurate records of progress towards long- and short-term treatment goals.
  • Regularly follow up with clients to assess progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.

Requirements:

  • Current license to practice occupational therapy.
  • BS degree or greater in occupational therapy.
  • Proven working experience as an occupational therapist.
  • Excellent knowledge of principles and practices of occupational therapy.
  • Hands-on experience with computer programs and creative media.
  • Familiarity with ADLs evaluation tools (e.g., Katz ADL scale, Lawton IADL scale).
  • Ability to manage patients with different types of personalities.
  • Valid certification in CPR/BLS.

Compensation and Benefits:

The estimated annual salary for this position is $75,000-$90,000, depending on experience and qualifications. Additionally, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) plan, paid time off, and continuing education opportunities.
