Role Summary:

As an Optometric Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing outstanding service to patients, ensuring they receive the highest standard of care. Your goal will be to consistently impress patients with your exceptional service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Welcome clients promptly and address their needs with efficiency.
  • Assist clients with their shopping experience or clarify procedures within the office.
  • Exhibit meticulous attention to detail, thoroughly review prescriptions, and collaborate with team members as needed.
  • Demonstrate patience and courtesy towards all clients and patients.
  • Execute tasks with accuracy and efficiency, even in high-pressure situations.
  • Manage patient records in an organized and efficient manner.
  • Utilize the point-of-sale system, process transactions, and oversee orders.
  • Ensure the store is well-maintained and adhere to safety protocols.
  • Conduct preliminary examination tests accurately and educate patients on contact lens maintenance.
  • Oversee contact lens inventory and support the Optometrist as required.

Qualifications:

  • At least one year of solid customer service experience.
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Strong communication and listening abilities.
  • Basic mathematical skills and interpersonal capabilities.
  • Experience in sales and familiarity with retail products.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in customer service, retail, or optical settings.

Compensation:

Compensation is determined based on various factors, and you may also be eligible for bonuses or commissions, along with benefits such as healthcare, retirement plans, and employee discounts.
