Job Summary

Holtec International is seeking a highly skilled Thermal-Hydraulics Test Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for preparing technical documents related to test requirements and design information, as well as reviewing and processing documents from supplier deliverables.

Key Responsibilities
  • Receive and process supplier deliverables related to testing, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare technical documents, including test requirements, test procedures, specifications, and reports, to support testing activities.
  • Perform testing in accordance with established test procedures, serving as a test witness and ensuring data accuracy.
  • Provide technical support for problem-solving, leveraging expertise in thermal-hydraulics and testing.
  • Develop a deep understanding of test facilities, including process and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs).
  • Review and approve test documents and reports, ensuring adherence to quality standards.
  • Support testing program requirements, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project execution.
  • Apply hands-on experience in solving first-of-a-kind test problems, driving innovation and improvement.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in an engineering field, such as mechanical, nuclear, or chemical engineering.
  • Proven experience in laboratory experimentation, including procedure and report writing, as well as data processing.
  • Proficiency in programming languages, such as Python, MATLAB, or similar data processing software.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with minimal direction, to solve complex problems and provide recommendations.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% of the year and deploy to site for approximately month-long periods.
  • Demonstrated technical writing skills and excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to make sound engineering judgments and prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Eligibility to work under 10 CFR Part 810.
  • Desirable experience with system code thermal-hydraulic analysis, such as RELAP.
