Baystate Health Registered Nurse RN Inpatient Medical Telemetry Unit Job Description

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse RN to join our Inpatient Medical Telemetry Unit team at Baystate Health. As a Registered Nurse RN, you will provide high-quality patient care to a diverse population, working collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team to deliver exceptional patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct patient care to patients with a wide range of medical issues, including Alzheimer's/dementia, psych, sepsis, or other advanced infections, fall/syncope, palliative/hospice, stroke, COVID-19, cardiac diagnosis: atrial fibrillation, congestive heart failure, acute coronary syndrome, etc.
  • Monitor and care for patients who have been placed in an observation or outpatient extended stay status.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
  • Conduct thorough assessments, identify patient needs, and prioritize care to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Participate in unit-based quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety.

Requirements:

  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse RN in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
  • Current American Heart Association Health Care Provider CPR certification.
  • Minimum 1 year RN experience required.
  • ADN required; BSN preferred.
