Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and responsible Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our skilled nursing facility team as a CNA Driver. As a CNA Driver, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and timely transportation of our residents to medical appointments, activities, and other destinations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide safe and reliable transportation for residents to and from appointments, outings, and activities using facility vehicles.
  • Assist residents with getting in and out of vehicles, ensuring they are comfortable and secure during transport.
  • Perform CNA duties as needed, including but not limited to monitoring vital signs, assisting with personal hygiene, and providing other essential care services.
  • Engage with residents in a friendly and compassionate manner, ensuring they feel valued and cared for throughout their journey.
  • Ensure the facility vehicles are clean, well-maintained, and meet all safety standards. Report any issues or concerns to the appropriate staff.
  • Accurately document transportation activities and any care provided during transit, following facility protocols and procedures.
  • Adhere to all facility policies, as well as local, state, and federal regulations related to transportation and resident care.
Qualifications
  • Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA): Must hold a current CNA certification in the state of [State Name].
  • Valid Driver's License: Must have a valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Experience driving larger vehicles such as vans is a plus.
  • CPR/First Aid Certification: Must be current or willing to obtain.
  • Experience: Previous experience working in a skilled nursing facility or similar healthcare setting is preferred.
  • Compassionate Caregiver: Strong interpersonal skills, a caring demeanor, and the ability to work effectively with elderly or disabled residents.
  • Safety Awareness: Strong commitment to resident safety and adherence to transportation and care standards.
