We are seeking a skilled Locksmith III to join our team at the Greater Orlando Aviation Authority. As a Locksmith III, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining door locking devices and hardware, as well as preparing keys.
Key Responsibilities- Install, repair, and maintain door locking devices and hardware
- Prepare keys
- Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and engineering cut sheets
- Knowledge of TSA and Airport security regulations related to secured or restricted areas
- Operate field communications equipment
- Basic knowledge of essential safety equipment and protective devices
- Read and understand airport diagrams
- Program electronic locking devices
- High school graduate or equivalency diploma
- Five (5) years of experience working as a locksmith in the building maintenance or construction fields
- Locksmith courses required, including but not limited to lock systems in use at the airport
- One (1) year experience as a GOAA Locksmith II in the Lock Shop with a good performance evaluation
- Valid Florida driver's license
