Position Summary
The role involves ensuring that technology resources are accessible and equipped with the latest hardware and software. Responsibilities include troubleshooting hardware, software, and network operating systems. The position also entails providing orientation to new users and offering individual training and support as needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain an accurate inventory of technology resources.
- Troubleshoot various technology-related issues.
- Log and track necessary repairs and maintenance.
- Facilitate network access for all personnel.
- Install and configure workstations, including hardware and required software.
- Manage network accounts and passwords as necessary.
- Monitor the security of all technology systems.
- Prepare hardware for disposal in compliance with regulations.
- Perform additional related duties as required.
Location: Cohesive Healthcare Management
Supervision
Reports to the IT Director/Administrator.
Qualifications
- Professional demeanor and compliance with company policies.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug and alcohol screening.
- Criminal background check clearance.
- 1-2 years of experience in a healthcare IT environment is preferred.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to adapt presentations for diverse audiences.
- Must be free from illegal drug use.
Education and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- An associate or bachelor's degree in information systems, data processing, electronics technology, or microcomputer systems is mandatory.
Certifications
IT certification is required.
Language Proficiency
English is the primary language. Ability to read and interpret business documents and technical procedures is essential.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to perform basic mathematical operations using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
Reasoning Skills
Ability to apply common sense to follow instructions and solve problems effectively.
Essential Functions
- Provide network and desktop support to staff, including remote locations.
- Configure computer systems for new employees.
- Assist with IT communication issues.
- Support mobile device setup and installation.
- Occasionally work outside regular hours to address urgent issues.
- Analyze and recover systems during malfunctions.
- Monitor security protocols.
- Troubleshoot software and hardware to maintain system performance.
- Coordinate with vendor service providers.
