We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Seasonal Sales Associate to join our team at The Spice & Tea Exchange Portsmouth. As a Seasonal Sales Associate, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, maintaining a high level of product knowledge, and contributing to a positive and collaborative work environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide warm and welcoming service to customers, answering product questions and making suggestions for use
  • Maintain accurate and current product knowledge for all categories, completing product knowledge training and reading applicable publications as directed
  • Efficiently use POS system to complete sales, process gift cards, returns, exchanges, and phone orders
  • Replenish shelves and displays as needed and note low stock levels as per standard operating procedure
  • Strictly adhere to all Food Safety rules and regulations
  • Package product for display as needed and directed by store manager
  • Help maintain store appearance by contributing towards daily chores and cleaning
  • Comply with operating standards and procedures pertaining to the daily operation of the store to help everything run smoothly from day to day
Requirements:
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time
  • Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Comfortable with computers, using the internet, and printing
  • Positive attitude and ability to work as a team
  • Ability to learn and adapt to new products and procedures
