Core Responsibilities:

  • Installation and Configuration: Oversee the installation, configuration, and commissioning of new generator units and associated equipment.
  • Routine Maintenance and Repairs: Execute regular maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair tasks on generators to guarantee optimal performance and reliability.
  • Inspection Duties: Carry out systematic inspections and diagnostic evaluations to detect and rectify potential issues before they escalate.
  • Emergency Services: Provide immediate response to emergency service requests, delivering on-site assistance for generator failures or malfunctions.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain comprehensive documentation of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections, ensuring adherence to industry standards and regulations.
  • Client Assistance: Offer technical support and insights to clients, addressing inquiries and concerns related to generator functionality and upkeep.
  • Performance Enhancements: Suggest and implement modifications or upgrades to improve generator efficiency and performance.
  • Safety Protocols: Follow all safety guidelines and regulations to maintain a secure working environment for all personnel.

Qualifications:

  • Educational Background: High school diploma or equivalent; a technical degree or certification in electrical or mechanical engineering is advantageous.
  • Professional Experience: At least 4 years of hands-on experience in generator maintenance and repair, specifically with Generac and Kohler 40/50 kWh natural gas and diesel generators.
  • Certifications: Valid certifications for Generac and Kohler generators are required.
  • Technical Proficiency: Expertise in diagnosing and repairing both diesel and gas-powered generators, along with a solid understanding of electrical systems.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities to efficiently identify and resolve generator-related issues.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of interacting professionally with clients and team members.
  • Physical Capability: Must be able to lift heavy equipment, work in confined spaces, and perform physically demanding tasks.
  • Licenses: A valid driver's license and any additional relevant industry certifications are preferred.
