Job Summary

Delivers coordinated nursing care for patients in the Emergency Department, utilizing critical thinking, professional discretion, and independent judgment. Supervises and directs the activities of nursing staff, coordinating care with other disciplines.

Responsibilities
  • Collects relevant data to determine patient health or situation
  • Develops a plan to attain outcomes, implementing interventions and coordinating care delivery
  • Provides learning opportunities for patients, families, and team members
  • Participates in discharge planning to ensure continuity of care
  • Delegates duties to healthcare team members
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred
  • Acute care facility experience preferred
  • Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice required
  • Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) or Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification required
