Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Medical Assistant to join our team. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing excellent patient care and supporting our healthcare team. Your responsibilities will include preparing patients for examinations, reporting patient concerns, performing laboratory tests, and assisting with procedures.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. You will also need to be able to lift and move patients, and withstand the physical demands of the job.
Benefits
As a Medical Assistant at the University of Utah, you will enjoy a competitive salary of $45,000 - $55,000 per year, depending on experience. You will also have access to comprehensive benefits, including health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.
Working Conditions and Physical Demands
This position involves intermediate working conditions, with the potential to exert up to 50 pounds and consistently require lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, or otherwise moving patients or objects. You will be exposed to infectious diseases and may be required to function around prisoners or behavioral health patients.
