RN - Medical Surgical Unit

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate RN to join our Medical Surgical Unit at Providence St. Vincent Medical Center. As a Per Diem RN, you will provide high-quality patient care while working a night shift schedule with rotating weekends.
About the RoleAs a Medical Surgical Nurse, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional patient care, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, and maintaining a safe and efficient work environment. Our Medical Surgical Unit is a dynamic and fast-paced environment that requires strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, identify potential complications, and develop strategies to prevent or mitigate them.
- Administer medications, treatments, and other interventions as prescribed by physicians.
- Monitor patient vital signs, lab results, and other relevant data to inform care decisions.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care transitions.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and unit efficiency.
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
- Current Oregon Registered Nurse License.
- Current National Provider BLS - American Heart Association certification.
- At least 1 year of nursing experience.
