Job Opportunity in History Department

The Central Washington University History Department is seeking qualified applicants for lecturer positions to teach courses in various subject areas. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to contribute to the academic excellence of the department and engage with students in a dynamic learning environment.

Course Areas

The department is currently seeking instructors to teach the following courses:

• HIST 101: World Civilization to 1500
• HIST 102: World Civilization
• HIST 103: World Civilization since 1815
• HIST 143: U.S. History to 1865
• HIST 144: U.S. History, Since 1865
• HIST 301: Pacific Northwest History

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess a Master's degree in History and teaching experience at the college level. A Ph.D. in History is preferred.

Compensation and Work Schedule

The compensation for this position will be based on the Collective Bargaining Agreement. The minimum remuneration for non-tenure-track titles for the academic year will be as follows:

• Lecturer: $1,188 per workload unit for faculty with terminal degrees; $950 per workload unit for faculty without terminal degrees.
• Senior Lecturer: $1,307 per workload unit for faculty with terminal degrees; $1,044 per workload unit for faculty without terminal degrees.
