Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Caregiver/Med Tech to join our team at Granville Place. As a Caregiver/Med Tech, you will provide hands-on care and physical and emotional support to our residents, maintaining a safe and comfortable home-like environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide care and support to a designated group of residents during the shift, ensuring their safety and well-being.
  • Observe, report, and document any changes in resident condition, including skin, behavior, alertness, weight, dietary, and participation in activities.
  • Respond promptly to security system and resident call bells, and notify supervisor and/or Health Care Coordinator of any increased care needs.
  • Assist with continence management, serve and collect food trays, and maintain cleanliness of resident suites and community restrooms.
  • Practice good standard care precautions, including cleanliness, hygiene, and health.
  • Help residents maintain independence, promote dignity, and physical safety.
  • Engage residents in life skills and other life enrichment activities.
  • Provide medication assistance, including reviewing service plans, assisting with medication passes, and documenting medication administration.
  • Maintain confidentiality of resident information, including medication.
  • Report any resident concerns or issues to the Nurse and/or Health Care Coordinator.
Qualifications:
  • Certified Medication Aide certification required.
  • Certified Nurse's Aid certification required.
  • High School diploma/GED.
  • Must be 18 years of age.
  • CPR Certification.
  • First Aid Certification preferred.
  • Previous experience working with seniors preferred.
