Agricultural Finance Specialist

Agricultural finance specialists, also known as agricultural loan officers, play a crucial role in assisting farmers and rural entrepreneurs in securing the necessary funding for their agricultural endeavors, property acquisitions, and other financial needs. This position transcends mere prospecting; it requires building strong, personal relationships with clients through face-to-face interactions. A deep understanding of the agricultural sector, local market dynamics, and current regulations is essential.

Key Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in community banking.
  • Personal and professional background in agriculture is essential.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Strong negotiation skills.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent education and training.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and expand a diverse loan portfolio.
  • Conduct sales outreach to meet and exceed sales targets.
  • Achieve performance benchmarks across various metrics, including profitability and credit quality.
  • Encourage and facilitate new business development initiatives.
  • Collaborate effectively with support teams and senior management.
