Position Overview:

The role involves managing the organization of incoming produce.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Receive and organize all incoming produce shipments.
  • Ensure proper product rotation (FIFO).
  • Safely operate powered industrial machinery.
  • Maintain selection slots with appropriate stock, ensuring pallets are free from tape, wrap, or wires, and remove empty pallets as necessary.
  • Responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation in the work area.
  • Account for received products accurately.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications:
Education:

  • High School diploma or GED preferred.

Experience:
Minimum of six (6) months in a warehouse setting.

  • Six (6) months of experience operating a stand-up forklift and riding pallet jack is preferred.
  • Basic understanding of fresh produce is preferred.
  • Experience with replenishment, product cycling, RF (radio frequency) scanners, and returns-related functions is preferred.

Skills:

  • Strong reading and writing skills; fluency in English is required.
  • Ability to perform tasks at an acceptable productivity level.
  • Effective communication and interaction with colleagues in a professional manner.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand for extended periods, bend, stoop, reach, push, pull, squat, and walk.
  • Lift and move cases weighing up to 75 lbs continuously, from floor to various heights.
  • Use hands and fingers for labeling and handling equipment.
  • Must be able to hear warning signals from machinery and equipment.
  • Specific vision abilities required include close and distance vision, depth perception, and color vision.
  • Exhibit a high level of endurance and strength to perform the job effectively.

Work Environment:

  • Ability to work in confined spaces is necessary.
