Diagnostic Radiology Technician

As a Diagnostic Radiology Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the production of high-quality images for interpretation by Radiologists. This position requires a strong understanding of diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, as well as the ability to operate and maintain complex equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate and maintain diagnostic imaging equipment to produce high-quality images.
  • Follow established imaging protocols to ensure image quality standards are met.
  • Ensure a safe environment for patients, visitors, and staff by following established safety standards.
  • Instruct students and residents, and perform preceptor duties as necessary.
  • Establish ownership of clinical area by taking pride in appearance and readiness of exam rooms, equipment, and supplies.
Requirements:
  • Graduate of an accredited JRC program in Radiography required.
  • Associate's Degree in Radiography preferred.
  • No experience required.
  • Registered Radiologic Technologist through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT R.T.) required.
  • American Heart Association (AHA) Health Care Provider BLS certification required.
Physical Demands:

This position requires standing and sitting for prolonged periods, frequent bending/stooping and reaching. Proficient communicative, auditory and visual skills are required, as well as attention to detail and ability to write legibly. Ability to lift/push/pull 50 - 100lbs is also required.

May be exposed to fumes, cold, heat, radiation, blood/body fluids, and infectious disease.
