Job Summary

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced instructor to join our team as an Adjunct Faculty member in the Department of Kinesiology. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching a variety of courses in the field of exercise science, including kinesiology, physiology, and biomechanics.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach a maximum load of 12 credit hours per semester in area(s) of competency
  • Develop and implement effective teaching methods and materials to engage students and promote learning
  • Evaluate student progress and provide feedback to students
  • Participate in departmental and college-wide activities, including committee work and professional development
  • Stay current with developments in the field of exercise science and incorporate new knowledge and technologies into teaching practices
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in a related field, such as exercise science, kinesiology, or a related field
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in teaching or a related field
  • Demonstrated proficiency in teaching and learning, including the ability to develop and implement effective teaching methods and materials
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, colleagues, and other stakeholders
  • Ability to work in a diverse and inclusive environment, with a commitment to promoting equity and excellence in teaching and learning
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree or higher in a related field
  • Experience in teaching online or hybrid courses
  • Experience in curriculum development and assessment
  • Experience in working with diverse student populations, including students with disabilities
