Role Summary:
The physician will deliver expert medical services to patients in need of neurological care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive medical services to patients.
- Utilize independent professional judgment in diagnosing and treating patients.
- Order and prescribe necessary medical treatments, diagnostic evaluations, nursing care, and other healthcare services. Prescribe appropriate medications as needed.
- Engage in consultations and provide guidance to patients and their families. Offer health education and medical information to enhance patient understanding.
- Refer patients to relevant medical specialists and healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and multidisciplinary care.
- Maintain accurate documentation of medical and clinical services in patient records. Assign appropriate diagnostic and procedural codes for insurance billing purposes.
- Oversee the work of other medical staff.
- Uphold the principles of medical ethics in all professional interactions.
Education and Certification Requirements:
- Must meet Board Certification standards. Graduation from an accredited medical institution is required.
- Board Eligible/Certified in Neurology.
- Prior experience in a similar role is necessary.
- Possession of a North Carolina Medical License, DEA License, and BLS/ACLS certification is preferred.
