Acute Care General Surgery Opportunity in Mount Vernon, Washington
Overview:
Skagit Regional Health is in search of dedicated Acute Care Surgeons to contribute to the establishment of an Acute Care Surgery program at our Level III Trauma Center. Key Features:
- In this new role, you will deliver general surgery and occasional trauma surgery coverage in both the Emergency Department and inpatient settings at Skagit Valley Hospital, recognized as a Level III Trauma Center.
- Work collaboratively with our existing team of elective general surgeons as we expand our Acute Care Surgery program to 3.0 FTEs. Support will be provided by our team of general surgery PAs to assist during the day and for after-hours emergency cases.
- As a full-time provider, you can anticipate an average of 10, 24-hour shifts each month, with a required 30-minute response time to the facility.
- Benefit from 24/7 reliable hospitalists on-site, with specialist support available throughout Skagit Regional Health.
- Utilize an integrated EPIC EMR platform, which is implemented system-wide across the organization.
Qualifications:
- Graduate from an ACGME accredited program.
- Must hold Board Certification.
- Experience in general surgery with prior exposure as an Acute Care Surgeon is essential.
- Possession of an active Washington State license or the ability to obtain one is required.
- The ideal candidate will prioritize quality care, patient experience, and teamwork.

- Compensation: $3,300 per 24-hour shift.
