Position Overview

AECOM is currently seeking a qualified Senior Project Engineer specializing in Construction Engineering Inspection.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Possess FDOT Advanced Maintenance of Traffic certification.
  • Hold CTQP Quality Control Manager certification (successful completion of the examination required).
  • Demonstrate effective communication skills in English, both verbally and in writing.
  • Oversee a complex construction engineering administration and inspection program.
  • Plan and organize the work of subordinate staff members.
  • Develop and review policies, methods, practices, and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance of programs with Department standards.
  • Perform complex tasks with minimal supervision, utilizing advanced engineering techniques and principles.
  • Lead a team of engineers and professional support staff.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree with 8 years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • U.S. Citizenship is required due to project nature.
  • Valid U.S. Driver’s License.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Six years of engineering experience, with two years in relevant transportation projects.
  • A Master’s degree in engineering may substitute for one year of experience.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) registration in the State of Florida.
