Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Medical Assistant to support our clinical team in a fast-paced medical office setting.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, strong organizational abilities, and a passion for delivering exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine clinical tasks to support medical staff, including administrative and procedural duties.
  • Handle all responsibilities in a timely and efficient manner, ensuring seamless patient flow.
  • Supply ordering and inventory management to maintain a well-stocked medical office.
  • Obtain and update complete patient histories and chief complaints, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records.
  • Greet and escort patients to exam rooms, providing a warm and welcoming experience.
  • Check for outstanding biopsies, bloodwork, and other critical patient information.
  • Assist providers with medical and cosmetic procedures, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
  • Provide and reinforce patient education following procedures and office visits, promoting informed decision-making.
  • Set up for select procedures, including biopsies and surgical procedures, ensuring a smooth and efficient process.
  • Perform dressing changes, suture removal, and other procedures as needed, demonstrating competency and adhering to provider guidelines.
  • Complete pathology requisition forms with accurate and up-to-date patient information.
  • Maintain a daily log of biopsies and cultures performed by each provider, ensuring accurate tracking and record-keeping.
  • Maintain accurate accounts of specimens and record on cover sheets of lab bags, adhering to strict protocols.
  • Clean and sterilize instruments, maintaining a sterile and safe environment.
  • Clean, organize, and supply patient rooms, ensuring a comfortable and welcoming space.
  • Dispose of garbage and medical waste material, adhering to OSHA guidelines and regulations.
  • Review and follow posted OSHA instructions and requirements, including hazardous waste, needle stick injuries, and emergency evacuations.
Requirements
  • Previous experience in healthcare administration or related fields required.
  • Dermatology experience preferred, but not required; training provided upon hiring.
  • Customer service experience preferred, with a focus on delivering exceptional patient care.
  • Medical Assistant Certification preferred, with documentation required.
  • Ability to work well with providers to anticipate and support their needs, ensuring seamless patient care.
  • Familiarity with medical billing procedures and protocols.
  • Excellent communication skills and strong organizational abilities, with a focus on delivering exceptional patient care.
  • Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
