Position Summary

The Lead Technician position requires a highly skilled and experienced individual to diagnose and repair complex automotive systems. The successful candidate will possess strong leadership and mentoring skills, with the ability to drive a team towards increased customer satisfaction and efficiency. The position involves working with a variety of automotive systems, including brake and hydraulic, exhaust, primary and advanced fuel ignition and electrical, suspension and alignment, air conditioning, and computer systems. The Lead Technician will also be responsible for training and mentoring junior technicians and ensuring that all work is performed to the highest standards.

Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and repair complex automotive systems to specifications.
  • Lead and mentor junior technicians to ensure high-quality work and efficient workflow.
  • Stay current with rapidly changing automotive technology through continuous training and professional development.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of technical training programs.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Must have a valid automobile driver's license at all times and be able to drive company vehicles.
  • Must have a minimum 5 years of automotive repair experience, completion of a vocational-technical school program in a related field, or demonstrated skills via third-party certificates/assessment.
  • A.S.E. certification in at least 5 (five) of A1-A8 (L1 can be one of the five) is required.
  • Current Federal, State, and Local certification/license where applicable.
  • Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical people.
  • Reading, writing, and math skills.
