We are seeking a highly skilled Cardiac Sonographer II, Echo Tech to join our team at Sutter Health.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for performing diagnostic cardiac sonography procedures to assess cardiac structures and hemodynamics in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice and with the policies, values and mission of the organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Competently performs diagnostic cardiac sonography procedures to assess cardiac structures and hemodynamics.
  • Responsible for all commonly performed echocardiography procedures in the department with a high level of competence.
  • Performs transesophageal echocardiograms with or without three dimensional imaging, intraoperative transesophageal echocardiograms, structural heart procedures in the cardiac Cath lab, and complex congenital pediatric echocardiograms.
  • May also be responsible for orienting other staff to the department.
Requirements
  • Graduate from an accredited Cardiac Sonography Program or equivalent education that meets the credentialing requirement pathway.
  • RCS (CCI)-Registered Cardiac Sonographer certification.
  • 2 years recent relevant experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Intermediate knowledge of diagnostic cardiac sonography principles, procedures, and views.
  • Proficient in performing cardiac sonographic examinations with a solid understanding of human anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills to explain sensitive information clearly and professionally to diverse audiences.
  • Well-developed time management and organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize assignments and work within standardized operating procedures and scientific methods to achieve objectives and meet deadlines.
Working Conditions

Identify, evaluate and resolve standard problems by selecting appropriate solutions from established options.

Ensure the privacy of each patient's PHI.

Build collaborative relationships with peers and other healthcare providers to achieve departmental and corporate objectives.
