Position Overview:
As a Surgical Technologist specializing in maternal and infant care, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional support in surgical settings.

Location: UCHealth Medical Center of the Rockies Main Hospital

Department: MCR Women's Care

Employment Type: PRN, 0.0 FTE, 0.00 hours per pay period (2 weeks)

Shift: Nights

Compensation: $38.70 per hour, based on relevant experience

Essential Qualifications:
  • High School diploma or GED, or military training.
  • Registered as a Surgical Assistant or Surgical Technologist in the state.
  • Minimum of 6 months of experience as a Surgical Tech or a graduate from an accredited Surgical Tech program.
  • Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer, valid through sixty days of hire.
Key Responsibilities:
In this role, you will be expected to:
  • Deliver high-quality patient care using the nursing process.
  • Embrace a collaborative team approach to achieve outstanding patient outcomes.
  • Focus on wellness, patient perspectives, and evidence-based practices.
  • Mentor and guide new team members and those new to healthcare.
  • Adapt to new knowledge in a fast-paced, innovative clinical environment.
  • Ensure safety and quality at the point of care.
Specialized Care Areas:
Your direct care responsibilities will include:
  • Mother/Baby units, Labor and Delivery - Birth Center, Women's Care, and NICU.
  • Adhering to AWHONN's and AACN's practice standards and certifications, including RNC-OB, C-EFM, NRP, and CCRN.
