Cox Communications is seeking an experienced IT Security Specialist to join our team. As an IT Security Specialist, you will work closely with project teams to ensure solutions are secure through participation in all phases of the lifecycle, from requirements gathering to design, then implementation, followed by validation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensures solutions are secure through participation in all phases of the lifecycle, from requirements gathering to design, then implementation, followed by validation.
  • Works with project teams to identify and mitigate security and privacy risks.
  • Establishes functional goals for improving security and privacy operations.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of NIST 800-53 standards and be able to manage multiple engagements and effectively prioritize workload.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in a related discipline (i.e. Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology etc.) and 4 years' experience in a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience working in security architecture, operations, design, or development.
  • Demonstrable experience across multiple security domains relative to data protection, IT risk, network security, application security, security operations, remote access technologies, and identity and access management.
Estimated Salary:

$88,300 - $147,100 per year.
