Job Summary

We're seeking a full-time, staff Electrical Engineer 4 to join our Day & Zimmermann team. As an Electrical Engineer, you'll be responsible for electrical design and analysis of assigned projects, including complex deliverables such as power generation systems, substation & power distribution systems, and lighting & grounding/lightning systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Estimate, conceptualize, and plan electrical systems, including power generation, distribution, and transmission.
  • Develop and maintain electrical one-line diagrams, specifications, and system sizing calculations.
  • Communicate technical solutions and concepts to engineers and non-engineers.
  • Mentor junior Electrical Engineers and lead electrical engineering teams as needed.
  • Ensure effective management of change and cost control.
Requirements
  • BS Degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution.
  • 12+ years of relevant experience in electrical design and analysis.
  • Professional Engineer registration required, with ability to obtain PE registration in other states via exam or comity.
  • Eligibility to obtain a security clearance.
  • Strong organizational skills and effective verbal/written communication skills.
